AL04 is the heater overheat alarm. The thermostat on the tank heater has reached its set temperature, usually because oil flow past the heater is too low.

Clear the alarm

Press POW briefly, or reset the main breaker.

Causes and what to check

  • Low oil in the tank. Add oil to the "H" mark. Use the oil type your machine specifies.
  • Low circulation flow. Check the suction filter and the pump.
  • Thermostat dial setting. Kwangrim's standard setting is 115 °C. On units with low circulation flow, Kwangrim's procedure lowers the dial to 100 °C and moves the sensor up.
  • Carbon on the heater. A carbonized heater surface traps heat and trips the thermostat. The heater surface needs to be scraped clean.

Kwangrim's step-by-step AL04 procedure, with photos, covers removing the covers, repositioning the thermostat sensor 30 mm from the top cover, and lowering the heater fixing plate.

If you can, press the PARA key and send us the parameter readings shown on the display. That lets us find the cause and the right part on the first call.
