FIL is a maintenance reminder, not a fault. It appears automatically after a set number of running hours to remind you to clean the air filter and condenser.
| Chiller shipped | FIL interval |
|---|---|
| Through March 2015 | 600 hours |
| April 2015 and later | 999 hours |
Clear the alarm
- Press and hold ENT for 2 to 3 seconds.
- Clean the front air filter and condenser with compressed air, cleaner, a soft brush and a rag.
- If FIL will not clear, turn the machine and chiller off and back on.
- If FIL still shows with no machine alarm, the chiller control board needs replacing.
A dirty filter left in place leads to Alarm 02 and shortens compressor life. Keeping a spare filter on the shelf makes the cleaning a five minute job.

Still showing the alarm?
Call 847-466-5459 or email admin@industrynestparts.com with the alarm code, the chiller model and serial number from the nameplate, your machine model, and the supply voltage and frequency. If you can, press the PARA key and send us the parameter readings shown on the display. That lets us find the cause and the right part on the first call.

These steps come from Kwangrim service documentation and apply to Kwangrim NANOCON CIL, CIC and CIW chillers. Turn off and lock out power before opening the chiller. Electrical and refrigeration work should be done by qualified technicians.
